CBSE EVALUATION & ASSESSMENT

Continuous, comprehensive, and fair

Assessment at Swami Senior Secondary School is designed to support growth across every dimension — intellectual, emotional, physical, cultural, and social — in line with CBSE’s uniform guidelines.

     Grade

Assessment approach

Classes I–V

Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) — assessed through projects, discussions, skill-based activities, and observation, ensuring a holistic picture of development rather than a single exam score.

Classes VI–VIII

The year is split into two terms, each with a term-end examination. Term 2 includes questions from Term 1 to reinforce retention. Periodic tests, notebook submissions, and enrichment activities contribute to the final assessment.

Classes IX–X

Students sit for a single annual examination following CBSE’s Uniform Assessment guidelines. Written papers carry 80% weightage, with 20% from internal assessments — periodic tests (10 marks), notebook submission (5 marks), and subject enrichment activities (5 marks).
